Aruba wedding Summer 2010

Hi all -

 

I am new to the board and newly engaged. We are looking into locations in Aruba for a summer 2010 wedding. From sifting through the boards it looks like there is a lot of good information here.

Aruba is beautiful! If you could have a legal wedding there (at a resort), we'd be going!!!

 

We found out that you have to go to City Hall in Aruba to get legally married there, or get married at home before or after the trip if you want to do it at a resort. I only want to do it once, so we're choosing somewhere else!

Thanks all... We are both very excited. As far as the ceremony, my Grandfather is a Justice of the Peace and we plan to have him marry us here in Connecticut before we leave and perform the ceremony in Aruba on the beach, the best of both worlds a destination wedding and I can get married by my Grandpa..
