Any other brides for Rose Hall Resort?

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies!

I'm pretty late finding this forum, but better late than never, right? Lol. Has anyone given any thought to OOT bags? I'm considering monogramed beach towels, does anyone have a good vendor? How are you guys getting the stuff for your OOT bags to the resort?

Does anyone know about the on-site photographer? Should I be afraid?

Oh, while I'm here. What packages did you choose? I am going with the Twilight because I want the later time, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

Also, I'm having a tough time deciding on whether to do a cocktail hour. I feel like it's too much to try and squeeze it in when I have a 6:00 wedding, thoughts/opinions?

I'm doing the One Love package and getting married at 5. I'm a little bummed though because I wanted to get married at sunset and Charline said that 5:00 would be the appropriate time. After doing some detective work, however, it appears that sunset is around 6:15 in April. The Twilight Package seems FABULOUS! I did not choose it because it includes a lot of items that I don't want. About the coctail reception, I think you're right, it may be little much to squeeze in after a 6pm wedding and before your reception. You could always have a "cocktail hour" at the beginning of your reception. That way, you can have both!

  • 4 weeks later...

Hi everyone, I am glad to find thris thread. I read through everyone's posts and now I am considering this resort for my wedding which will be in Jan 2011. My biggest concern is the costs as I would likely have like 50 people coming and I heard the reception is $45 pp. Does this include all the table set up/location/service (I'm thinking the pool area looks nice)?? Is there an extra fee for alcohol? I talked to the WC last week to get some pricing info and she said it was $150 charge for outside vendors such as the photographer, not $450huh.gif I also really like the Aqua-duct location but it is also very expensive! Do I have to arrange transport for the guests? Could someone please send me any package/pricing info they have [email protected]. Thank you in advance!!

Q's Re: the resort itself....

Do I have to get a different AI package for my guests to get all the food choices at the restaurants? Can they go to the A-La-Cartes all the time? Or is there a limit?

Thanks girls!

The reception can get pretty pricey if you don't watch all the costs. The info I have is from what my coordinator told me. There'll be a set-up fee for the reception site, even if it's on the property and it would be different costs for different spots. But there is no additional cost for the ceremony site if you have it on location (i.e.- gazebo, west lawn gazebo, etc.)

The $45 dollar fee is just for food and depends on the menu you choose. Humm... I need to ask about the outside vendor fee because I got a higher price than $150. The aqueduct location IS expensive but it does include transportation and set-up (not sure if that means flowers too). HTH

In terms of the resort, I'm not sure about the AI options since I'm not going that route.

I was at the resort in October and the AI included almost everything. I remember the most expensive items on the menu at the Steakhouse weren't included but were a surcharge of maybe $20. According to the Hilton Website there are a number of different levels of the AI but my travel agent negotiated for one that included bar and food.

As for $45 per person for food, where are you doing that? My costs/quotes are a bit higher.

I'm happy to pass along any info you need, just let me know how I can help!

Thanks
