Alternate idea for a guest book

My SIL saw a great idea in Southern Living. Instead of a guest book, have shells on the table along with some sort of markers. You know they have colored sharpies now. Anyway, have everyone sign and put a small message on a shell, then later you can display them in a glass bowl on a table.

i love the idea - just make sure you think about the logistics of traveling with them. i'm just trying to avoid anything breakable!

That's true. I'm not sure if I'm going to do it, but if I do I would probably carry them on. I'm also taking starfish for the tables, so I'm already going to have to be careful with a few things.
