New 2010 Riu Wedding packages?!?!

Recommended Posts

I realize this thread is older but the outside vendor thing, at least in 2010 was a HUGE deal and caused a lot of problems for myself as a photographer as well as for the entire wedding party. Although I was a paying guest and not the official photographer, there was a "formal complaint" made against me and I ended up missing out on 4 hours or so of my friends wedding as well as having to go down to the immigration office the next morning to hand over 170.00 for "working" in Mexico when a) I WASN"T working and B) even if I had been working, I wouldn't have needed a work visa...see here

there is much more to the story but the in house photographer at the Riu Palace is the one responsible for the nightmare I've been through so I suggest you think twice before staying there and having to deal with them.

I have been told we can bring outside vendors in, with a fee of 300 USD. Is this what everyone else has been told? I'm worried that I will end up with some problems! I have an email straight from the WC about this however, so I have it saved and printed of!!
