Clueless Newbie~!

Hi everyone,

 

My name is Jess and I'm getting married in April-May 2010 - we haven't chosen a date yet as I just got engaged 3 weeks ago!

 

I have been reading all of the community posts on different wedding locations and am SO GLAD I found this site - everyone's posts and opinions are proving to be super helpful already.

 

In terms of locations, we have only been to the Riviera Maya twice and both times stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe - however, in terms of a wedding location we are open to other areas of the Carribean and are looking for something similar to the GBP or better. Preferably, closer to the airport since we will have a good number of young children joining us and GPB is about 2 hour drive.

Welcome Jess I don't know much about Riveria Maya but there are many brides her who do some I'm sure you'll get the answer to your question although you should prolly post a question in the Mexico forum. Ok Good luck and welcome to BDW!!!

Hey ya Jess, first of all congrats on your engagement!

I was in Riviera Maya back in Jan to shoot a wedding at the Barcelo Maya Property... It was fantastic. Super clean, friendly staff, great food, and its only about 45 - 1hr from the airport.
