Dancing with Dad!

Hey All!

 

Well all of these posts left me so inspired and excited, so my dad and I started talking about our ideas. He ended up suggesting the song "The face" by... I can't remember. lol

 

Anyway, it isn't very "daddy's Girl" which is perfect, because--although we are very close-- we aren't "daddy's little girl" close. Our relationship revolves very much around ideas, conversations, and life aspirations. So this song was perfect-- all about telling me he'll be there, whether I choose to take his advice or not.

 

I'm so excited, and he seemed really pleased that I liked his choice. One more check on the list!

I know it's a bit untraditional but I was thinking about using "Footprints in the Sand" by Leona Lewis. I have a good relationship with my dad but it's not like the Butterfly Kisses or My Little Girl kind of relationship. Ours is more of a respectful relationship and very much a friendship. Does anyone have any thoughts on this song? I am worried it might be more of a love song than anything- though it does talk about being there and being your friend etc. Here are the lyrics though I am sure everyone has heard the song:
