videographer...to do or not to do...

OOOK- So I am undecided in reguards to a videographer...I am still trying to chose the resort I'm going to get married at in Jamaica but as i read more and more I am hearing how bad the photography provided by the resort is terrible- could the video be too? ugh...

 

The video packages ranges from $1800 to $2400 at sandals...will it be worth it? AND- I can't bring in an outside vendor...

 

I REALLY want a video- what am i gunna do?

We were not going to get a video but last minute we decided to and I am so glad and we have not yet seen it. It is true what eveyone says the day goes so fast and the ceremony becomes a blurr.

yeah I'm not spending the money on this...if someone said to me "do you want to watch my wedding video?" - I think I'd run the other direction

OMG....I couldn't have said it any better!!!

I am not gonna lie, our video is way corny! But, I watched it last night & couldn't help but get teary. But its not from the video itself but more form the memories of the day. And we certainly didn't pay $1800 to $2400. I think that is way too high. I think ours was like $250. Also its only about 20 minutes. And if you saw it, its so cut & dry that you'd wonder why I paid $250!
With that being said, I definitely feel for you as getting the video was something that I had to have. But again, its not worth it to pay that much $ at all.

LOL....Although family members who didn't come to Jamaica saw the video, I guess I'll refrain from ever pulling it out to show others! LOL

We've decided to save the money and ask one of our friend's to videotape...that way we can see video of the ceremony and then the rest will just be unedited video...hehe...
