Sample packs can be a life-saver! Trial and error is definitely going to come in play, but there is always going to be food that isn't good for any animal (even if they like it) and it's usually good to start with the best you can afford. I have my dog on a premium human-grade natural food, but I tried to switch him to a different brand when he was transferring to adult food, and then I tried a different one...and a different one...and a different one....but no luck! I literally tried like 7 different foods, but he starved himself until I tried his old brand. That being said, every dog that comes over devours his food, so it must be yummy!

 

If you get a good food with no fillers, you may not need to get anything designed for sensitive stomachs. Cats are even more carnivorous than dogs, so sometimes they just can't digest certain

ingredients well. A few of my friends have switched their dog to the same food I use (after their dogs went crazy for it) and the ones with allergies have had no problems since, even though it's a "regular" food.

 

Whatever food you try, it's best to first mix it with your old food, or put it out in small amounts (or it can upset your cat's stomach more). Hopefully putting a ball in the dish will work too, or your cat will probably throw-up no matter what!

My baby girl kitty used to puke after eating 3-4 times a week. I then started feeding her smaller portions 4 times a day and now she pukes maybe once a month. Good luck in finding a brand that your babies like.. just a bit of trial and error and patience and it will work out

We put golf balls in our cat's dishes. It works. They hardly ever get sick anymore.

omg my cat does the same thing. I tell my FH that its b/c he calls her fat and now she is bulimic, lol.

 

But I recently our situation got worse. We were out on vacay and my automatic cat box decided to go haywire so the cat could not get in it. Instead she started peeing and pooping by the dresser. After a month with a new litter box that she doesnt like I'm still cleaning up pee! She will poop in the new box but refuses to pee in it!!! ARHHHH. She is 10 yrs old and I can never get rid of her.

My brother's cat does the same thing. They gave her a hairball remedy dry cat food and she has been throwing up less frequent. My cat is 20 and sometimes he can't make it to the bathroom quick enough. Thank god for wood floors. We can clean it up quickly..

If it was poop or pee, she would be wearing a diaper lol Funny looking? Yes. But it's the only way I could do it because I'd never be able to get rid of her, as much as I'd like to sometimes (but that's only until the anger subsides).
