Carlos Melnik or Elizabeth Lloyd-- Reviews, Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

So FI and I are a little stuck in deciding on our photog. We initially underrated the importance of this service, but after hours of blogging on this FABULOUS site, have realized (thanks to all of you lovely BDW Bloggers) just how important -- not to mention stunning-- photos really are.

With that said, we have a restricted budget for this. We have tossed up between Elizabeth Lloyd and Carlos Melnik. I'm looking for people that have used one of these two, or anyone that has any input or suggestions for or against either one.

It's crunch time, and I'm VERY undecided!

Thanks a million!!!smile03.gif

In my opinion, I much prefer Elizabeth's style. I love how you can look at photos from several weddings on her site - not just some greatest hits. She really seems to have a good eye for details as well as some creative shots with the couples. And seeing the weddings from beginning to end you can tell she knows how to document and retell the story of the whole day. Good luck with your decision. I think, it is actually the most important decision you'll make in regards to wedding planning - OK maybe I'm biased a bit - and maybe the venue can be more important - but I'm serious, its the best way to help you remember your amazing day rockon.gif

Edit: OK didn't realize how old this thread was. Sorry if its unneeded advice :)

Hey all-- just to tag on: We ended up changing our venue / country to Melia LAs Dunas on Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba. We went with a resort photog b/c of the situation that ensued with Carlos Melnik.

If you need further information on my "opinion" or Carlos Melnik pleas see my review under the PV thread-- It ISN'T positive, as a heads up.
