Guests Travels

As far as traveling for your guests...did you let your guests make their own arrangements, or did you hire a TA?

 

Im thinking since there are always pretty good deals from Detroit to Fort Meyers that most of my guests would probably be better off making their own arrangements but thought I would see what everyone else did.

I am working with a Travel Agent, but sometimes people can find better deals on thier own so I guess it really depends...you can give them the option if going with your TA or making thier own. I might be doing this also. Sorry I'm probably not much help.

I had a TA. Are you booking with a TA yourself? If you are i would just say to your guests you can book on your own or book with my TA so&so.

We are driving down, so no TA for us.

So no TA for you. hmmm I think if i were you I would just let my guests book myself then. I think most people have traveled to Florida so they might feel comfortable booking themselves anyway. Have you ever booked with a travel agency before? Maybe if they ask you can at least say "i'm not booking with a TA but i have worked with ***** agency before and they were really good. why dont you give them a call."

WOW.....you are a trooper. Driving from Detroit to Florida! And I thought driving from Missouri to Florida was a long drive.

lilMissFrogg, thats the fun part of it! We are making it a roadtrip wedding. We are taking our time driving down and going to hit different spots. We have a book of things to see on the way down and back. We bought a mini cooper last year that we have been dying to take on a roadtrip, so this is perfect!

Sounds like a lot of fun. We are driving to Southern Georgia for our wedding....with 2 kids. So that alone will be like a 8 hour drive that should only be 4 (at the most). Kids make it a whole new adventure.

 

What all do you plan to see on your way? Stuff like, 'worlds biggest yarn ball' and stuff....or actual stuff....lol. JK JK JK

My guests are also booking their own travel, because some will be able to drive (the FL ones) and the rest are coming from different parts of the country. We did block hotel rooms though.
