Pinata at my wedding??

So I really want a pinata at my wedding reception....is this super cheesy/tacky? Has anyone done this before? I think it could be a lot of fun!

I am totally doing this! I am having a candy table and instead of cutting a cake (which we won't have), we will bash the pinata! I don't think it is tacky at all, it is super fun in my opinion! My wedding is coming up shortly, i can definitely let you know how it goes!

I went to a wedding that had a pinata. Uh, just make sure it's done in a fun way. No one was into it at all.

i think it's a really fun idea! we had one at our shower and i would have loved to have it at the reception also. i'm a fan of the classic donkey pinata!

I don't think that it is lame. I think that it would be really funny and provide some great pics. I would just do it late in the reception when everyone has loosened up.
