Handfasting

My FI and I want to do a handfasting ritual at our ceremony, but I have not been able to find any real directions on HOW to tie the chords any one familiar with this Pagan ritual?

From what I can find, you can have the cords tied anyway you want. You can have one cord/ribbon tied by your officiant, or you can give small ribbons to each guest or guest of honor (bridal party, parents...) and have them each come up and tie the bride and grooms hands

Thank you for that link. I have been looking and looking for HOW to tie the chords and that was the best info I have found yet!
