RIU Riviera Maya Newbie

Hello everone! I am so happy to have found a forum like this! Already so many of my questions have been answered just by reviewing some threads.

 

My name is Erin and my FI and I are planning to get married at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya, MX next Feb 27th (fingers crossed, we won't know for another week or two if that date will be confirmed).

 

I have lots of questions regarding the resort (is the DJ good?, any good reasonably priced photographers?) and also some general wedding questions.

You're kidding! That's great! Have you checked out the RIU Palace thread? It has some good info. in there.

 

I am hoping to have about 75 people (actually 80 so we can rent out the steakhouse), but my family is having a hard time with it. I am hoping they come around!

 

How about you? Which location did you pick for the ceremony? We have decided on the beach. I am a bit worried about people being in background for pictures, but it just looks so pretty!
