Newbie beach bride here!

Hi Everyone! I just got engaged last friday! i am planing on May of 2010. Not 100% sure of a place yet as far as a resort nut seriously thinking of the mayan riviera. So far i have been looking at dreams puerto adventuras. any suggestionos would be helpful. Thanks! I cant wait to start planning my big day with all of you!

Welcome to the forum! When you first start out this might be a little over whelming, because you will see amazing reviews and photos from resorts you never even thought of... so it can just add on stress for choosing a resort.

So, my advice to you is to sit down with your fiance and create a list of what you want out of your wedding such as:

- children in attendance

- married on a beach

- private reception

- great food

- near local attractions

- gazebo vs. natural setting

- BUDGET

 

once you get those things all listed then it's a lot easier to go through the resorts and properly pick the one that will be amazing for your wedding!
