Weddings Over, now the Reception Invitation

I couldn't find a post with ideas to help me.

 

I had a beautiful wedding in Jamaica, but many people could not attend. In a few months we will be having a reception at home. I'm having lots of problems coming up with ideas on how to word the invitation. I'd like to mention the wedding date, our names and our parents names since they are the ones hosting the reception.

 

Any suggestions are really soooo appreciated.

try searching for AHR or At Home Reception, you should get lots of info as many of us have done the same thing

i am planning to send a sort of combo wedding announcement/AHR invite, using one of the photos from our wedding.

Mummergirl, that's what I'm hoping for too.

A pic of us in wedding attire, announce that we were married in January in Jamaica and now a Reception. I searched AHR as mentioned above, but didn't seem to come up with much.

Do you know what you're writing on those invites yet?

I'm kinda thinking the bottom half will say: To celebrate the occasion we invite you to a banquet to honour the newlyweds? or newly married couple? or invited to a banquet held in the newlyweds honour.

Probably a small detail, but I just don't know what it should be.
