Hi Ladies,

 

Do you know if there is a required amount of time to send in the paperwork to the governments in the US/Canada to be officially married.For eg, If you get married in Mexico is there a specific time frame that you have to translate and give to the government before you get penalized. Like do you have to send in the paperwork right away or are there brides who wait up until a year to send them in. Is there any specified time frame that you have to send them in?Are there any brides that were married in Mexico and never sent in the paperwork?

It does not talk about lenght of time, but I do believe that it is 3 months max after date.

 

We decided against Mexico, because it was just too complicated to get married there. As you need translated documents, both that you bring and bring back, blood test...aye!

 

We opted for Grand Cayman, sooooo simple

 

I would reccomend you contact the embassy and see what is required in your province as well,
