Wedding Planning (STRESS)!

Hi everyone! We are getting married @ SGOR 08/10/09 and I am stressing because our wedding coordinator is more of a saleswoman than a coordinator. It feels like if I am not calling to buy something then I get very little response (or no response at all through email). As of last week I have decided not to purchase anything until I am in Jamaica. She continues to advise me that I need to pay for pictures and other things now, but my opinion is that they have to come take pictures for the free photo anyway. Does anyone know about this or has anyone experienced this?

I brought this to Sandals attention as this is not what Sandals would like for their brides to experience ! Hopefully there will be an improvement quickly with the WC !

Please don't fret - the photographer will be there, as yes, they have the one 5X7 photo included with the free wedding package!

I did have a little trouble early on with communication with the wedding planner but honestly hold tight. Everything works out in the end and almost all of it can be done at the resort. In fact, with the exception of all the paperwork you go over everything when you meet with your WC (Ours was Kari Ann) in Jamaica anyways. Then you get to see picture and and really get a feel for everything. You will have a book sent to your room within the first 24 hours that will have pictures of possible locations and flowers and such. You take that with you with any ideas to your meeting before the wedding. Everything will go smoothly. I promise. We had no trouble what so ever while we were there. Everything was perfect. I know it is frustrating before hand because you just want answers but it all works out!

Oh yea, one thing you might want to think about is music. Their selection is very very limited. You can bring your own music. It is no problem at all.

Let the manager know if she had not improve her services. She must be working with the photograper. She is getting a cut out of it if you pay now. If you don't like his work look else where.

I experienced the same thing as a SGOR bride. Don't feel pressured to make any selections until you're ready. You will have the opportunity to get whatever you need when you get there. The onsite WC will give you all the help you need.

I ended up basically ignoring my stateside "salesperson" WC as I got closer to the big day. My onsite WC was much more accomodating and helpful. Don't stress!
