CANADIAN OOT BAG info...where to shop!

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

I really can't find the time to read through the whole thread, but I have read the last few pages. My wedding is coming up really quickly, and I've only just started on my OOT bags. I really would like tanks/tees for my guests. Any suggestions on where to go? I live in the GTA if that helps any. I really appreciate any help. There are 25 of us going, including bride and groom. Thanks!

Those are going to be great oot bags! I like the idea from the Martha Stewart site...was going to use that idea too. Great mindswink.gif

For those of you who have bought the big bottles of advil and tylenol....are just putting some of each into little envelopes or ziplock bags? I thought about doing this, but is anyone anticipating a problem with customs? I always travel with the med bottles and don't want anyone to have problems if they get checked....what do you think?

Raykel... one idea is to travel down to your destination with all the pills still in a sealed bottle (and divide them up quickly once you're at the resort!). That way if you do get checked, it shouldn't be a problem since they're in a sealed container that can be identified. If you've already divided them up into individual packs, customs may question if you're trying to re-sell them or sneak in something a little less legal. If you're doing first-aid kits, pack the med bottles in with those and if any explanation is needed as to why you have such a large size bottle you can show that they're part of the package for your guests. HOPEFULLY you won't have any problem to begin with but these are the suggestions I'd had from frequent travelers just in case.

That is definitely an option and a good one....the only catch is I was hoping to hand out the oot bags before we left so we were not the ones transporting them down. We will have to see how the packing goes and then decide I guess. Maybe I will just include on the welcome letter that we have all sorts of painmeds etc wtih us so if someone is short to come and see us.

Hmmm, if you're doing first aid kits you could try and sneak little ziplocks baggies of meds into them? There's still a chance of having those checked I guess but it might be enough of a solution for you since they'll be divvied up between all your guests and might seem more for personal use than distribution.
