Thanks for the heads up! We now have 3 kids coming and I didn't know until now, so I didn't get a chance to pick up beach toys during the summer. I;m surprised Michaels still has stuff!

Oh neat, I need to go to Michaels tomorrow too and see if they still have these items. My Godson/ring bearer is crazy about Toy Story, I got him a couple of small inflatable toys so far and one of those little dollarama suitcases with the little stationary stuff inside, but this will be nice too.

Wow!!! I really wanted to do something similar for my wedding. I'm especially impressed with the pre-departure welcome packets you put together. Did you have a template or did you come up with it all yourself?

I went this weekend to creative bag in Pickering...HOLY COW!!!!  It was a bride's dream!!!!  We ended up getting the large woven bags (they actually look like the bags from Mandarin, but way nicer...) in lime green for 0.99 each!!!  I was looking at the same thing on promopays.ca but they were like $3 each.  Also, place card and favour-type things....lots!!!  We got the little metal buckets...they are so cute, we are gonna try to see if we can make them a combo favour container and placecard holder...I think they were $11 for 12....

They are called re-useable nylon shopping bags. I actually hadn't thought of these but was in the store with one of my bridesmaids and she recommended them. She got one from her sister and said she uses it all the time because it just folds up and fits in her purse! Best part is b/c they are so small they will take up virtually no room in my suitcase. For 99 cents they are decent quality as well.

Colours in this pic aren't that great....the pink is actually a nice vivid hot pink (these are the ones I got).

My shipment of lime-green nylon bags arrived this morning - I just have to wait to get home to see them! Can't beat the price - even if you ordered the Cheap Totes from the states, the duty and shipping would have made it probably more expensive than these. I had mine shipped and the shipping cost $18. I'm really excited at how small and light there are, and I really think people will use them again.

I was actually in the Pickering store on the weekend too and I think the North York location has more selection including favours and a small clearance section. The guy working said they are just getting stock in b/c it's only been open for a few weeks.

 

Unfortunately they didn't have the ribbon I needed but I did find a nice money box! I wanted something to collect cards in and they had some nice cardboard ones that come flat so they would be easy to take with us!

 

Does anyone happen to know any other stores in the GTA with a good selection of ribbon? I'm looking for a deep/royal purple wide satin ribbon for my cake and no one seems to carry it. With only 3 weeks left I can't even order it from the US! Any help is appreciated...

Not to beat a dead horse, but have you been to Michaels lately?  I was just there today and I thought I saw something like that...I would call it maybe a deep concord grape or merlot colour...would that work?

Also I noticed in the staples flyer this week that color copies are on sale for 20 cents each AND for those of you printing at home like me, buy 2 HP ink catridges save $20!
