I am from Port Moody (just outside of Vancouver) and my fiance is from Edmonton,
I am wondering if any other brides-to-be from Van/Edmonton have good suggestions for OOT shopping. There are so many dollar type stores to choose from!

I am getting married in less than 8 weeks and need to get this stuff together asap!

Also, I am a little confused about labels/vista print etc. Do you buy plain stickers and have them printed? How about labeling your canvas bags? Is there something you can buy and iron on yourself? I am so confused.

Thank you so much for your help!

Kristy
I'm from Edmonton and here's what I've picked up so far:

from Liquidation World (15535 115A Avenue):

Travel Aloe Vera's (under a buck)
Decks of cards with plastic case (about 50 cents)
Gorgeous, giant striped beach bags for my bridal party (around $5 each) I'm going to get their names embroidered on them.

From Dollarama:
Leather keycard/tip money holder ($1) I cleared out the Westmount location, so you may want to go elsewhere. wink.gif
Mesh drawstring OOT bags in bright blue/purple/green/pink ($1)

From Staples:
Small glitter gel pens (12 for $cool.gif which I'll slip in the leather keycard holders with a small post it pad for leaving notes on peoples doors for meeting up purposes

Iron Transfer Paper (can't remember for sure, but I think it was around $15 for 5 sheets) I did a trail and this works quite well, just make sure you keep the iron on it for more than the reccommended time, otherwise it tends to peel off.

I'm also hoping to get travel mugs. Will likely just get cheapies from somewhere and add stickers or keep some sharpies on hand for people to decorate their own. I can't justify the price of doing a custom one. I've asked around and it seems that insulated and with a lid are priority to people, and that can get rather costly if ordering them.

HI Canadians!! Like most of you I LOVE Dollarama! For any Manitobans on here, Giant Tiger has great deals for Social Prizes! Anytime I see things on sale I grab them. I figure if they don't make into into a basket I can always use it!! Michaels is awesome too! And I have the best Avon lady who is getting me great deals on gift bag items for our guests (aloe, lip balm, sunscreen!)

Hope this helps!!

I'm not sure if there are many left, but Kellogg's had some coupons on the back of some of their cereal boxes. I bought a box of Rice Kripies for between 4-5$ and there is 10$ worth of coupons on the back. I'm using some of them to buy treats for my oot bags. $2 off box of 8 Nutrigrain bars = Free! $2 off box of 8 rice krispie squares = 27 cents $2 off box of 12 fruit loops straws = free!

This thread is sooo helpful! I will definitely be going to dollarama for most of my things. The vistaprint suggestion was also great. They have 25 magnets for free (just shipping) right now. I'm trying to keep the contents of my OOT bags small so they're easy to transport.

I've been keeping my eye out also. I'm not getting married till April, but picked up goergous beach bags from Chapters. They were regular 19.99, with a zipper at the top, pretty big. They were 75% off...I lost my lid, bough the last 3 on the shelf, paid 16 bucks.....lol I can't wait!!!!!

Well, I'm actually an oddball on this site. I'm getting married close to my home, I just love all the ideas and tips on this site, so I just had to join. We're having about 10 guests from out of town, so we're giving them the oot bags as a special thank you for coming from so far. So luckily I don't have to worry about shipping...whew!

Thanks Ana for the suggestion. I went to the link for the store in Yaletown but was not able to find the address for it. Do you know if it has moved? It says down on S. Kent (between Cambie St bridge and Knight St bridge). Have you been to the store?
