Are you talking about Riu Cancun or Riu Palace Las Americas? I got married at RPLA, but did go to Riu Cancun as well. So let me know what questions you have. You should check out this thread and it has plenty of info on both of these hotels-

No problem, thougth it would help. I was happy with the choice we made about the gazebo. The terrace would have been a nice option too but that is where we were having the cocktail hour and there wouldn't have been enough time for the staff to set up after the ceremony. And, we really didn't want to get married on the beach and it worked out perfect because the tide was very high while we were there and the beach didn't look as nice as it usually does. So, the gazebo worked for us. Here's the link to the thread with my pictures. Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.

Mrs. Martin,

I saw you had your reception at La Pacha, about how big was it? I am concerned about renting the place out because we will probably have only 30 guests and I'm worried that it will seem empty and weird in there. But on the other hand we can't have our first dance anywhere else...that I know of.
