I've visited Melbourne a number of times, it's a fun place. My mom was born there.

That's so exciting!! I know how you feel though, my FI and I moved to Toronto last year from Vancouver and he left in June and I was left in Van to work, go to school, and pack up etc... I was without him for 3 months not 5, but honestly it passes quicker than you think. I was determined to have a good time and enjoy the summer despite him not being there, and it was great. Think of it this way, you've been awarded an incredible opportunity to better your future, and you will probably never have another 5 months where you will be able to be alone and to have your relationship be long distance. Keep busy, I joined a running group and started training for the marathon, had multiple girls weekends, and ate cereal for dinner practically every night (which I couldn't do if my FI) was there haha! You will be ok and you might even be surprised at how fun it might be and how much you will learn about yourself and your relationship.

That's so exciting, and sounds like a great opportunity! Is there any way to visit each other in those 5 months? You're so lucky! I've always wanted to go to Australia!

Thanks for the tips I'm sure your right it will just fly by and in no time at all we wll be married and starting our new life together in Australia whooo getting excited now!!!
