Pashmina's in May???

I like the idea of getting our female guests pashmina's but we are getting married in May and I am not sure if they will really be necessary. I am not sure if the evening breeze will be "chilly" enough to have a pashmina for going to dinner or walking along the beach!

 

Anyone get them for an April/May/June wedding and did your guests need them?

A pashmina for walking along the beach at night sounds so cozy! If anything, they can also use it on the plane I always get so cold planes.

My wedding was in April & I can tell you FOR SURE, that they were needed & used! Although the resort is open air, some of the restaurants were air conditioned or had ceiling fans going at full speed.

It's funny because I gave them out at our welcome dinner & since the restaurant was a bit cool, some of the women pulled them out of the OOT bags & put them on as we sat there! I also used mine at some of the other restaurants & at night as I sat in the lobby which was right off of the beach.

 

I'm the type of person thats always cold no matter what so it always came in handy. Taking that into consideration, since people are so different in terms of how quickly they can get chilly, if I had it to do over, I would definitely give them out again.

I got them for my guests in April, and we used them. It's not TOO chilly that you need a sweater or a jacket, so just a light wrap like that is perfect.

Cool, I didn't even think about restaurants....they do get chilly and therefore come in handy...

I got married 05/17 and I bought pashmina's for all the woman. It was HOT as hell every day there and absolutley no need for the pashminas. However, I will say that since then, they have gotten good use out of quite a few of the ladies. So it isn't a total waste. And I remember when I went to DR before in May, some nights it was cool. So I can't say for certain that they wouldn't need them, but I can say that they will probably use them at some point.

I bit the bullet and bought twelve from the website listed on the thread "online retailers I love" it was like $60 for twelve after shipping...which I thought was a good price! I think they'll come in handy for air conditioned restaurants!

I highly recommend getting pashminas. If your guests don't use them it is a very nice gesture and I'm sure they will all love them. I bought a bunch when I was in Europe and I use them all of the time. I went to 2 summer weddings; winery and beach and atleast 12 ladies had them. I'm planning on picking some up for my female guests.

i just got back from a wedding and it was so hot that getting a pashima would of been crazy. it is a nice gift but maybe one better suited for OOT bags.
