Yet another change in my plans...the final one! I've just booked Misti for our pics. She's been great to work with and I love her work! I'd love to hear from brides who have used her. She's also a member on here...it's nice to be able to find and select the folks who support us with all our planning!

You are so lucky, I saw her pictures and would love to have her, but looks as though she is booked for my date. Will she be traveling alone for your wedding?

I want to caution anyone using Expressions by Misti which is now Studio Douglas Weddings. There have been many brides recently displeased with her lack of professionalism.

I booked Misti Spring of 2009 for our wedding in June 2010. I did a lot of research before booking her and found some great reviews.

When we were booking her, she was very prompt in responding and very gracious. Once we submitted our deposit, we found out Misti had been booked that afternoon by another bride for a wedding. She offerred the use of her assistant at half the cost of her price, so we accepted that offer based on her praise of her assistant, Lauren Sterban.

However, after finding some really poor reviews this past summer, I contacted her regarding these. She offerred to refund 50% of our deposit fee. There are at least 2 other brides that I know of that Misti offerred to refund their deposits and the last time I checked with them they had not received their refunds either.

That was Sept 9, 2009 when she promised to refund $187.50 within 30 days. I have not heard from her since then nor have we received our refund. I have tried multiple times to contact her via phone, email and even Yahoo Messenger when she was listed as active (of course the person responded saying it wasn't her).

DO NOT fall for her evil ways. I am happy that we only lost our deposit and did not pay for her to come to Punta Cana only to have nothing to show for it, and my heart goes out to the brides that have suffered due to her lack of professionalism and courtesy. Definitely choose another photographer whether you're having a destination wedding or a wedding locally.

I will be posting a review later, but I just wanted to say that I used Misti for my Dec 31, 2009 DW, and she was great to work with. I never had any communication problems, and I received my photos this past Friday. That was about 35 or so days. I am waiting for my CD currently, but all pics are online.

I used Misti for my photgrapher when I got married, no problems communicationg with her at all. I recieved my pics on the CD in time , Im currently waiting on my photobook.
