That is a perfect idea - a scavenger hunt!! How cute! Maybe forgo the sand and just do the shells if you are worried about the mess! But a scavenger hunt will definitely keep them busy! Adorable!

We put out colouring posters and markers at each of the children's place settings(12 total) this was decided in the interest of space, and the fact that we had done OOT bags for the kids.... you can see the OOT bags in my planning thread - the link is in my siggy!

I love the idea of buckets.  Easy to transport plus they will be able to keep all of their items in the bucket when they leave!
