This might seem like a REALLY dumb question, but I want to know... my new gym has opened and I have become a gym rat... I have also been taking the one hour kickboxing class, and was wondering if it is safe to kickbox 3 times a week, or maybe even 4? This class is so great, and I sweat my butt off, so, I am just curious!!! I am plus size 16, but I keep up really well, and am proud of myself. But I want to be safe!!

Awesome and good for you! I did competitive kickboxing 2 times a week and think it is the best work out ever! With any workout, I think as long as you are feeling good about what you are doing then keep doing it as often as you like, especially if you are enjoying it so much.

3 or 4 times a week is a great workout. I dont like to run, so i do kickboxing for my cardio 5x a week just make sure you are drinking lots of water even if you dont think you need it drink more. I have seen people pass out, but that was bc they werent drinking water. I think you will be very happy with the workout that you are going to get from kickboxing 3+ days a week. Keep it up!!!

Is it contact kickboxing or cardiokickboxing? I used to do 2x/week cardio and 1x/week sparring just fine. Of course, you may not want to spar if the wedding is soon because accidents do happen :) If you are doing cardio, just listen to your body. It is an amazing workout physically and mentally and so why not do it as often as you can tolerate!

I do kickboxing (non-contact) and karate (full contact sparring) and I try to go at least 5-6 times a week, depending on my schedule. There's a few days out of the week I go to boxing in the morning and karate in the afternoon. Just listen to your body.
