when to do our sand ceremony?

I was also told by my WC that we could not change the legal ceremony, so all the WC's seem pretty consistent on this topic. We opted to do a spiritual ceremony first with a minister (including sand ceremony) and then have the judge step in to do the legal at the end, with our minister serving as the interpreter.

I am still confused on when to do the sand ceremony. For those of you that did the ceremony after the exchange of rings, did you do it before you kissed and were announced as husband and wife?

We did the sand ceremony after the exchange of rings but before the kiss and announcement of husband and wife. After the sand ceremony, we walked back to our spots, did our first kiss and was announced as husband and wife. Hope this helps.
