Riu Macao guest/brides

Has anyone visited this hotel recently, I'm trying to find out if they are still having problems with the smell in the rooms, service etc.

I trying to change to this hotel or the Riu Tiano

I got married at the Riu Palace Punta Cana in January, and there was definately a "musty" smell in some of the rooms. Ours wasn't too bad, but we definitely had to wash things a few times when we got back. I don't know if it is a DR problem or a hotel problem, as it is so humid there. I did go to the Macao on a different visit, and they had the same problem. Overall, it didn't ruin the trip though, just bring some bags to keep your clothes in (my wedding dress was triple bagged) and some air freshener and you'll be fine.

 

And have you looked at the Bambu too? I didn't see much of the Taino, but the other hotels seemed nicer.
