Thanks! I finished them up w/ white and pink ribbon so they looked better at the wedding - make sure you get green tape - it is in the section w/ the fake flowers so you can tape them and I found that instead of taping them all together at the end, tape a couple together, then arrange a couple more and tape those on, etc....that way it looks better!

My mother is making my bouquet and it is looking really nice, however, we started using the flowers at Michaels and found that they really didn't look as "real" as the ones at Joann Fabric. They have beautiful flowers there and we found them in the perfect colors. it's best to wait for a sale coupon and get all you think you may need and a few extras. I bought what I though would be enough and it wasn't but when I went back they were all out. So now we are searching stores all over to find the exact match. I'm doing peach and pink roses. I have rose essential oil that I am putting on a cotton ball and sticking in the middle so they even smell real!

Bianca is right, if you can't get the flowers wholesale, the prices can be outrageous. The Floramatique especially...their wholesale prices alone are insane. I have helped a few brides get real touch at a little above wholesale.

Doing your own bouquet can be tedious and frustrating. I know I even get frustrated sometimes doing bouquets. But with the right flowers, some floral tape, and the right wrap it has potential to be gorgeous no matter if you're doing it or a professional is doing it. There definitely are alot of great DIY videos though to follow and guide you. And if you find you can't do it yourself or are overwhelmed by it all, I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to change your mind and bring them to a professional to put the bouquet together for you! Afterall, you would already have the flowers, so that expense would be done! Just leave yourself alot of time to work on it.

Good luck!!

It sounds easy, but I wonder how easy it really is. I want my flowers to look real and perfect, not sure I can do it myself. Where do you get the real touch flowers from. Never heard of them. I like the ideal of putting the oil in to make them smell real. great idea
