Wedding cermony and reception ideas

Hi,

I am considering getting married in Vegas however I don't really want to do it at a chapel or on the strip. Ideally, I would like to have the ceremony and then lunch/brunch or maybe dinner at a restaurant instead. Something pretty informal. I definetely don't want a dinner reception because I don't want the production of a wedding (i.e. speeches, dance, etc).

 

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to do something unique and yet casual.

well there are casinos off the strip, Green Valley Ranch is stunning and Red Rock is very modern looking (if you watch the Housewives of OC they just filmed an episode there).

 

Otherwise a lot of weddings happen at the Valley of Fire.

 

As for dinner it will depend on where you pick for your ceremony.

Valley of Fire or Red Rock Canyon is nice. I'd also recommend Marche Bacchus for a reception. They are a French bistro with fabulous food and great service. They are on a lake, and the atmosphere is intimate.

 

I've recently photographed a reception there. The bride and groom loved the place!

The prices seem very reasonable in comparison to the cost per person at a hotel.

 

Do you know much a cab ride might be to this restaurant from the strip?

Cili's Restaurant is a nice place also.

I loooove Cilis and they are flexible with anything you want to add to make it unique, ie. a string quartet, etc.

Have you thought about Lake Las Vegas? There are some really nice resorts, but far enough away from the strip that it is quiet and relaxing.

 

We had a wedding at the restaurant at the Monte Lago and the wedding party had the whole upstairs. It was secluded, intimate and "not your typical wedding"
