Wedding guests wear white?

I was thinking about being non-traditional and having the guests (20-25 family and friends) wear all white to my wedding. My friends say they would become bridezillas if their guests wore white. But I figure its an island...Jamaica... I envision cottons and linen... IRIE MON!

 

Would you allow guests to wear white to your wedding?

Is it rude to request your guest to dress a certain way... after they have come so far?

We are doing a white party for our welcome dinner. I've seen some weddings where all the guests wear white and it looks really cool in photos... I just think I'd go bridezilla myself if it was for the ceremony, but for the welcome dinner - I'm all for it.

There is already a thread that I know of that discusses this. There is a lot of advice and some pictures. If I remember correctly, Alyssa had all of her guests wear white. Hope that helps in your search!
