Is it bad not to have OOT bags?

I don't think its bad at all. We're lucky with ours as we're getting married in Turkey where we have a house there so will be going over about 4 times before wedding and will be able to take bits over each time.

I think if you write your guests a Thank You letter then they will know that you're thinking about them and appreciate them coming with you.

The onboard credit is a given (comes with a group booking in most cases) and is very appreciated by the guests but I think the personalized towels are a great idea too. They will come in handy when you are off the boat exploring the islands.

I just came back from our cruise wedding and we have an 18 mo old (stroller, diapers, etc) and did the OOT bags anyways. Which in the end they were pretty small and only took up a 1/2 of a small suitcase. Our guests carried them around the pool and enjoyed the coozies inside.

It's totally up to you and I am sure they will love whatever you decide.

I don't think it's bad not to have OOT bags at all and I dont think anyone would expect them either. I've been to two destination weddings, neither of them had it and I didn't take away from the experience at all. We were all just so happy we could be there for them. OOT bags are a very nice gesture, but I don't think it's necessary.

I have been to a few Destination Weddings and have never been given an OOT bag. Many people think I am nutz for putting time, energy and financial resources into them.

It's totally your preference. Maybe you could just order mugs or shot glasses, something a little smaller as a thank you.

People are there to celebrate you and your hubby not to receive gifts! Choice is yours

I don't think guests are expecting OOT bags. It's a nice gesture, but not expected. Most of our guests haven't been to our destination location, so we're going to give them local treats like candies, baked goods and beer. We don't want to deal with the hassle of transporting the OOT contents. So, we'll bring our own beach bags (which easily fold in our luggage) and our hotel will purchase the local treats for us -- which we'll assemble when we get there.

I'm not doing OTT bags either.Don't want to burden guests with more stuff to carry. I am thinking just sending them some little things along with the programs , such as lanyards and luggage tags, before the trip.

No OOT bags here either. We are giving out Bubba Kegs instead, and a few things go into them.... sunscreen wipes, if I can find them, for example. Most people we know travel anyway so they know what to bring, and we are sending out a "What to Pack" list as part of our pre-travel brochure.

OOTs would just cost us money we do not have, take up space, and we know our specific group would not appreciate them so much. Plus, we are the first to have a DW - no one will really know what they are missing anyway!

That being said, our "ladies" - the bm, moh, and both moms - are getting sort of oots for their gift, but I am giving them theirs at the airport or maybe even my bridal shower or spa weekend, so I do not need to pack them down and they only need to take what they want there.

Another idea is to pick up little favours when you GET there... something local. And treat that like a welcome gift instead (like tequila for Mexico, or postcards, or something like that.)
