Bahamas Breezes??

I am wanting to book something by the end of the month and I have heard a lot of mixed things about my chosen resort.

 

I am not looking for anything super romantic of expensive, just fun and well set up, clean rooms and a nice beach

 

Does anyone know anything about the Breezes location on the Bahamas??

I wish I could help you.... I am looking at Breezes simply because of the promo they are having right now for our 1 yr anni. The rates right now are super cheap, but like you I have seen some of the reviews and well ... I don't know how to feel bout them...

I have been to Breezes 6 times in the past 10 years ( 3 times in the past 2 yrs) My most recent visit was last September and to be honest, I was dissapointed. The front desk staff was not very nice and the bartenders were hit or miss (attitude wise). I always have fun with the bartenders and some of them are excellent..they remember me from past visits and we joke and laugh when I'm there. Also the entertainment staff is pretty fun. If you are looking for a basic hotel that is inexpensive then you will be fine here. It's all about the attiude you go there with. Obviously you aren't paying five star prices so you wont get 5 star service or quality in rooms or food. The food is good there and the drinks are flowing. They have two sit down restaurants plus a buffet and poolside grill. At night there is the house band (Funky D and Summer Breeze Band) and some type of a show..nothing fancy but fun. I love the band and Funky D gets you up dancing, etc. There is also a disco there that is hit or miss. Last time there was a big group of locals there who overtook the hotel which was a little upsetting but we didn't let it affect us.

 

I have seen some brides walking around but never witnessed a wedding there. The hotel rooms are basic but clean. They have redone the bathrooms in them which are nice...no tub, only shower.

 

I like to go there for a cheap getaway and I have made friends with some of the staff there since I have been so many times. I always have a great time and I love getting invloved and earning "tokens" to cash in at the end of my trip for souvenirs. Oh and if you go, you have to try the trapeze:) All in all, its a good resort but I personally want something a little nicer for my wedding...if you have any other questions, let me know...

My Travel agent found us a great deal in St Martin which we are probably going to take her up on, it's a 4 star all inclusive for about the same cost as the Breezes (2200) My Fiance is dutch and really likes the idea of marrying in one of the dutch colonies.

2nd week of December, probably the Sonesta Great Bay resort. We thought about the Maho, but the planes landing at the airport make it kind of noisy

Is that 2200 total or per person? Also, is that hotel you chose all inclusive?

total per person, includes transfer flights from home town to Toronto, taxes and does not take into account any group deals
