Bridesmaid gift cost/suggestions?

I had 2 showers. One of my friends threw the first one for me, as a surprise. So afterwards, I gave her a really nice fruit bowl (when I threw her her surprise baby shower, she gave me a Tiffany's candy dish). She is not a bridesmaid, but a really good friend. And the shower must have been quite expensive, since it was so beautiful and formal (sit down lunch, mimosas...at a B&

 

My second was thrown by 2 of my Aunts. I made a basket for each of them with a personalized wine glass, bottle of wine and one of those hand-blown wine bottle cheese boards with cheese knife. They were so tearful over it and never expected that. It was just a little token of my appreciation, since I really did appreciate the shower. It was held at a Country Club and was really beautiful as well...they put a lot of effort into it.

 

I know gifts are not expected, but I love to give ;-)

I only have one Maid of Honor so I'm going to buy her jewelry for the wedding day and I looked at the smarty pants website and I Love the personalized gifts so I'm going to see what else I can get her.

I have 2 BMs my little sis (20y.o) and one of my bff. I'm thinking of giving them OOT bags but in a different bag than everyone else and adding their wedding jewelry and pashminas as well as spa and drink coupons for on the ship. I may also send them choco covered strawberries or something wedding night. We have a cruise wedding but are getting married in St Thomas. I doubt that my sis will throw me a shower and my other BM is in a diff state so it may be hard for her too but I think my mom and aunt will prolly end up throwing my shower and I'll prolly get them Pashminas to add to their OOT bags as well. But I've never actually heard of gifts for the persons throwing ur shower.

I have never heard of giving a shower gift either. But I think this is a good idea, they put a lot of work and time into this effort. Something to think about

I have only heard of giving gifts when they person throwing the shower is not in the bridal party (and so already getting a gift).
