Recommended Posts

Hey girls! I see no one has posted recently.  Any of you been to the resort recently?  I stumbled across this hotel today after I have been looking for over a month and i'm kind of excited about it.  Anyone have pics, prices, info you can share re: this resort I would really appreciate it!

I just got back last night from my wedding at Moon Palace.  The resort is lovely!!!  The wedding went off with any issues with the assistance of my wedding coordinator Maria.  I would recommend this location for anyone who is still trying to decide.  I will had a full wedding review in the next week or so.

In regards to rates, I booked my wedding under a member and got a good rate for the wedding package and the rooms.  The rate is better if you stay for 7 days, but the less than 7 is not too costly.  You need to look at all the benefits that your guest receive (i.e. free in-room wireless internet, free calls to the US, those staying 7 days--get a free manicure, pedicure, and back massage).

PM me if you want more details.

Hello!! I just started the planning process and fell in LOVE with the Hard Rock Punta Cana!!!  I recently just got a quote from my TA for January 2012 and it's outrageous!!! Much more expensive then some of you have posted on here! :(  I was wondering if anyone had any advice, recommendations for me?  I've read the entire thread and was hoping more people would post info after they've gotten married!  Anyone that has been there recently would you PM me and let me know what you thought?

Thanks in advance, and congrats to all you newlyweds!!!! :)

Hi!

I just booked my wedding for July 22nd. After so much trouble with travel agents and them telling me there were no group discounts, I went directly to the resort. Their wedding sales department was very helpful. She confirmed my date and also signed me up for a group contract which allows you to estimate the number of rooms to reserve for your guests. Also, if you do not fill all the rooms/room nights, they release them 60 days prior to your date without any penalty. It's a great concept. And, not only will I be able to take advantage of the perks (free cocktail hour, private event based on how many rooms are booked) but she also locked in my hotel rates which were about $100 less per day than what any travel agent gave me - I am finally breathing easily! Once you sign the contract and put down a deposit (you and your fiance's full hotel stay as a good faith deposit for the group) they will create a link for you that you can send to your guests to book through. From there, they can book just their hotel stay or hotel and flight. Makes sense to me! We are SO excited :)

I'm sorry to be confusing the quote from my TA was for the resort stay/airfare packages and they are much more expensive then some of the other brides have posted!  I think it'll be around $1500 for only 5 days/nights for stay and air!  I'm not sure about the packages on line and what the additional cost that would be!  I'll let you know if my TA has more info!!
