New Moon Palace in Punta Cana

Hi, so I'm just starting to pick a resort for my Indian DW -- I've read so many great things about this place!  However, many of you keep saying it's expensive for guests -- how expensive are we talking per person?  Also, how many rooms do you have to book to negotiate prices?  How much are they willing to negotiate?

Any info would be great!  Thx!

We were quoted $400/night/double occupancy room.  We talked directly to the resort & they said that was the group from now through next August.

I am having my travel agent negotiate next week so I will keep you posted but it seems to me that if I am going to have 25 rooms I think SOME kind of discount needs to happen because right now they are paying only $7 less than they would if they booked online.

Thanks for the tip with the emails.  I've been numbering my questions now so that each of them gets answered.  As for your group rate, talk to your travel agent to bring it down.  I checked and my Land only rate that my travel agent got me is $970 per person (double occ.) for 7 days...so that's about $140.  I secured this rate back in March though.  Also, the unlimited private events deal is 25rooms OR 75 room nights.  So if you have 11 rooms, each booked for 7 nights, then this would be 77 room nights and this also qualifies for the deal!

 

I've mostly been emailing Pilar in Miami, but I'm not sure if she's my actual coordinator.

 

Are you going with any upgraded wedding packages?  I've decide to go with the Sapphire one and was told I could use the $1500 room credit towards the package. 

 

Do you know when the resort officially becomes Hard Rock?  I'm just curious when all the renovation work will be done.  Hopefully before November.
