"I want to book here for 2012 after it has become Hard Rock Hotel and Casino but I can't find much information on it yet. Has it officially changed over yet?

I also worry about how much the guest rooms are per night, I know its all inclusive but that is quite a lot! I have emailed them asking for information but they are yet to get back to me, I am guessing from all of your posts it is a waiting game!"

yes i think they just did the change but again i just checked the rate and i was very close to booking this resort but for single it is 386 per night and double is 400 per night. not sure what your guest budget is but that is way over mines=(

Yes $400 for a double is a little expensive for us too. Which is such a shame... I wonder if they will use the Hard Rock All Access card for points and stuff too... We have travelled round the world a lot with work and actually gone to a lot of Hard Rock Cafe's and a couple of the hotel/casino's and it just seems like a good way for us to tie the knot...meaningful I guess! Plus my man is a bit of a rocker himself!

At least my wedding is still 2 years away yet that there's time to see what happens with it and hopefully some more information and other peoples experiences will surface!!

Hi Ladies!

I am getting married at MP PC next May and my guest rates are definitely expensive! For those of you who have booked 25 or more rooms were you able to negotiate the rates? And did you have to pay extra for any of your unlimited events?

Thanks for any answers you have

Hi I just got married at moon palace and wasnt completely happy. The resort employees are so disorganized. Some of my wedding items that I gave to my WC broke after I handed it over to them. They told me the would put my items out no problem but they ended up charging me 280.00. The next day when I went to collect my wedding decorations they lost my cake topper, broke my wedding flutes, lost most of my candle holders and starfish decorations. The told me that they would find everything and get it back to my room before I checked out. They never did it. My room came with 25min message for 2 and when I went to make apt for it they didnt know what I was talking about. My room was clean everyday. The list goes on..sorry dont mean to complain but for what it cost 400.00 it wasnt worth it. The resort is beautiful...

Hi,

I'm getting married at Moon Palace this December.  To be honest, we haven't done much planning yet, other than getting our guests to book.  We'll be around 40-45 guests and should qualify for the 75 room nights deal (ie. unlimited private functions).  Did anyone else qualify for this?  Did you have any trouble securing this with the resort?  Everytime I ask the coordinator specifics about the deal, I get vague answers, or she just ignores my question.

With the date finally approaching, I decided it was time to start working.  I got a few attachments from a coordinator from the resort with their flower selection, cake selection, buffet menus, cocktail menus, plated menus,... I'd be happy to pass along the info to anyone interested.  Just send me an email.

GazzieGirl, so sorry things didn't turn out completely as you had hoped!  This makes me very nervous!  Which coordinator did you deal with?  I am dealing with Iliana.  So far we've only emailed each other a few times, but the time between her replies is definitely very slow (about 1-2 weeks) and her answers are often yes/no answers.  Did you have your ceremony on the beach?  Was it windy?  Where did you have your reception?

Time4Me2Plan, I just booked through a travel agent for a package that included air + hotel.  I didn't find that I got a good group deal.  We're paying close to what we would have paid had eveyone booked individually.  I wasn't too happy about that, but what can you do.  Our package price (double occupancy) is $1700 per person for 7 days, including flight.  The flight is probalby around $600 round trip, so we're paying about $1100 per person for the week for just the hotel.  What rate are you paying?

To any brides planning their wedding here, let's share info!  To those who have posted pics..thank you so much! It's so hard to find information on this new resort.

Hi Jenlycus!  I have found that when emailing Iliana it is better to work in bullet questions so that she can answer accordingly in red.  I spoke to someone on tripadvisor that actually DID negotiate her rates for a birthday party celebration she planned.  I was going to go ahead and start negotiation but my travel agent told me to wait until she got back so she can work on it.  My goal is to get them down to 165-175 per person for a double.  Our goal is definitely to get the 25 rooms booked deal because I want ALL my events included.  Who is/was your Miami coordinator?

5.7.11 is my date so we should definitely PM our findings.
