What OOT bag to pick!

So, I saw the post about the tote sale at American Bridal, and initially decided that I would get the expandable bag there since I thought it would be really useful (2 sizes in one, and it has a zipper, not to mention it looks decent quality).

 

Then however, my fiance said "those are nice, but a regular reusable tote bag would probably be more useful." I was like "huh? But these are way nicer!" but I do sort of see his point now. A regular tote bag might get used after the wedding for groceries and that sort of thing, but the expandable bag would maybe just sit in a closet (not that I care too much if it does).

 

Soo, what do you think? What would you be happiest to get?

 

No matter what I get, I plan to put a personalized tag on the handle with a ribbon and a starfish. I'll post some pictures of my various options:

 

First is the one from American Bridal. This is it expanded, but the two brown parts zip together and hide the blue part:

 

Here is the kind I would get if I went the cheaptotes route. With this bag I would probably put a veeeery small iron-on print in the bottom corner with our initials (not noticeable enough to stop people from using it, but a nice touch). I'd get it in brown or blue:

I like the first amazon one - the white with black.. how much does that one cost?

Does the last amazon one come in other colors? I think it's cute, but you're right - I don't know if a lot of other people would like it..

I've been having the same trouble picking bags.. I just can't decide either - I don't know if it's worth spending so much more money or if we should go with the cheaptotes bags??

I have to say I like the second ones. I think the first ones would be super cute, but thinking from the guests perspective, I would be most likely to use the second for groceries or random stuff.

 

Plus they are probably a fraction of the cost!

I really like the first one but I probably wouldnt use it as much as the totes if I was going to the beach w/ it or pool. I love the green tote- so cute!!!

The amazon ones are $3.50 and $2.99 respectively, and no, the green one doesn't come in any other colors

 

If I DO get the first one, which is better, black or blue? Here's the blue:

 

I find it really hard to decide, especially b/c I see the appeal to all of them. The American Bridal is clearly the "nicest" and has the most features, but it's also bulkier and wouldn't be great for running errands.

 

The cheap-totes ones won't seem like as nice of a gift, but they would scrunch up easily into a purse, and could have a fair number of uses (although I wish they were wider).

 

The Amazon one is just an average bag all-around. It looks decent, the price is in the middle, and it's a little less bulky than the American Bridal bags.

 

The green one is a cute shape and has a tie (which I think is a great feature) but I can't see many of my guests using a bag that's almost neon.

 

What bags are you looking at DGG? I only need about 13 of them, so I'm a bit limited b/c a lot of sites only do bulk orders, but either way it's not an easy choice!

I was looking at similar bags on Amazon - here are some links to ones I had it narrowed down to. I think I'll need about 40 bags, but a lot of the wholesale places start at 50. By any chance, are you getting married in the Bahamas?

That was all I wanted to write on the bags so people could use them again and not have our names all over it.. I ordered several samples of the ones from cheaptotes and I thought they were somewhat flimsy and looked sort of cheap. The dark blue and teal colors looked better. The lavender color looked really cheap.

Great Price! I ordered a similar waterproof bag (white with gold handles) from an advertising company. We did order 50. It cost about the same as amazon that you don't have a minimum order with. The only extra we got was our logo is being put on by professional heat transfer. You could try ironing on your own or just putting tags with your logo on them.

 

We currently only need about 40ish BUT we plan on giving our extra things for shower prizes or to family and friends that really wanted to make it but just can't.

 

What are your colors? The blue or the black would work for either guys or gals.
