Christina I think all of those things are fixable by a seamstress. The pleat may need to be darted down so it stays flat. I am not sure what they will do about the run on the left breast part and I think the part in the back can be tacked to stay inside as well. But of course I am not a seamstress so I don't know. I think the dress came out very very well except for those minor adjustments that need to be made. I would hope to be so lucky with my TTD. Was this your TTD? Is this the poly-taffeta?

christinak82 - my dress had some of those stitch lines in the rouching too. At first I was a bit put off but then I realized that nobody besides me would focus on it. I also noticed later that part of the bodice on my dress isn't attached to the skirt - you can stick a hand down between the material and right "under" the skirt! haha. The parts where the edges of the material comes out is pretty unacceptable! In the end I knew that NOBODY would be analyzing my dress so closely on that big day. And honestly, for under $200, I knew it wasn't going to be perfect and accepted these tiny little flaws. I'm sorry it's not what you wanted it to be and hope you can figure out what to do with it!! HUGS!

I really agree with KJT. I think this are minor things that no one is really going to notice. Like I said I think they can be easily fixed. On that day no one is going to be examining your dress and IMO when you first posted the pics I was so enthralled by how stunning the dress was and the detail that I really didn't notice those things until you posted them up close. I hope you can get it fixed to your liking. It really is a beautiful dress, not to mention it fits you very, very, well.

I dont know if I can fix that all... my mother in law said its all just small things, but because there are so many small things I´ve noticed, it just gets a whole big unignorable thing...
your dress is beautiful christina - but i would be upset with some of the issues as well.

those stitch marks on the bust are unacceptable, in my opinion - but your mother in law is right, no one will be judging your dress like you are. you might able to steam out those stitch holes, and i am sure a seamstress can help you with the other details. i still do think it is stunning enough to be your official dress, it is gorgeous.

thank you for your encouragement... I know I shouldnt go crazy because its all only small (and hopefully fixable) things... but I am such a perfectionist and sometimes I wonder how people can do their jobs so "half-hearted" :-D
jeeez... maybe I should go see a therapist ;-)

Nope! It was my actual dress! I still felt AMAZINGLY beautiful on that day!! Didn't even think about the fact that I could have pulled the front of my skirt out like it wasn't attached! smile120.gif
