Lisa from Jasmines sent more progress photos of my dress with the lace application (now they will apply the beading and buttons) and what a difference the revisions I asked for made!  It has the shape! I am happy with the progress so far! LLLL
Wow, this really does look awesome. The rouching looks perfect!the shape looks great too. Great choice. It seems like even with the premium grade they do a great job, the designer grade isn't really needed. Congrats!

Thanks! I am really quite happy with how it's progressing and I am happy that it now appears to have a shape. I was getting mighty worried for a second there.

Any advise on how to take my own measurements as accurately as possible?

I had my fiance help me msnwink.gif   We used a measuring tape from the fabric store and also based on my other dresses I have at home and the measuring charts for those dresses, I was able to deduce that what we came up with were accurate measurements.

1st Dress (The differences I noticed were the size and location of the belt, the neckline, and the buttons extending past the waist in the back. They said I will need to wear a petticoat if I want a fuller look).

Thanks for looking!

I agree about the belt location but if it's custom that may just be where your waist is? I am not sure though. I think both dresses are lovely and yes, you should definitely get the petticoat for the first dress to get a more fuller skirt.

the first dress, if they can fix the belt location and remove the buttons from the waist down, then the dress would be perfect! i love the design at the bottom they nailed that part! the second dress is cute,, love the colour! congrats and good luck hun!

I got very discouraged after my second attempt of dress shopping and turned to online... A bit sad I didn't get to have that "moment", but very grateful for online shopping... Just hope to GOD that it looks good when I finally get it!! haha

yep thank god for online shopping Donna!

rThanks! I am also very impressed with the micropleating that Jasmine's has done. what kind of fabric is that? tulle or chiffon? How much did that second dress cost?
