Hi guys,

Well I have had the lastest updates mid- production pics for my Vera wang inspiration

LL LL LL LL LL LL LL LL LL

gemma dress that I ordered through Jasmine's bridal.

Please let me know your thoughts and whether you think there are any changes / requests that I need to let them know about. Their customer service has so far been fab. Be as honest as you like here really. Is anything slightly off? I am not a seamstress so not entirely sure of what adjustments to make. Is the alignment ok? Is the bust area alright? I want to make sure there is a modest amount of cleavage showing. i.e I dont want the top of the dress to completely cover the entire breast area...if that makes sense. You know when you wrap a towel around your body and you totally cover the bust area with a towel....well I dont want the top bit that covered! I want a hint of bosom/cleavage so that it stays sexy elegant...but nothing too over the top. Do you think this neckline will do that?

Anyway, thoughts/observations please ladies!

I am quite pleased I have to say! They still haven't finished as they have some work to do on the skirt, the back etc. But so far it looks good I think. Please shout if you notice even the tiniest little thing that should be corrected though. :-)

First of all, love this dress. Gorgeous! There was another bride a few pages back that got it from jasimnes and was happy with it. Skirt is gorgeous on it! Your dress looks great! I understand what your saying about the cleavage... You not wanna be a granny but you also don't wanna look slutty lol. Unfortunately without seeing you your bust size and the original dress there is no way to tell how it will look. How did the original fit? If your smaller chested maybe have them lower the sweet heart a bit, you could also get it tailored locally after you get it, its easy to take a lil fabric off, not as easy to put it back. if you gave them correct measurements I'm sure it will be great. Nothing a ill push up bra won't fix. :) The only thing that bothers me personally about your dress : 5th pic down, right boob.... That one piece of fabric looks alomost folded into that spot. I don't know if that's how the original looks or what so I can't really say if that's correct to the design of the dress. If it was me though I would want that one peice more incorporated into the side of the dress instead of the top. If you don't see what I'm talking about I can copy paste and show you on paint later. On the I pad right now. Do you mind me asking what they quoted you for this dress?

I agree, there's no way to tell because we don't know how big your boob are and how it fit on you.  You could always use a push up bra if necessary. And if it is too much fabric you could have a local tailor fix the sweetheart for you.

Here's the original so you can compare:1000

g525x700px-LL-d8fc9d1d_photo-10.jpeg       Ok girls.  Posting this pic was so hard!  So I finally tried on my Dressily Me dress.  I love it.  I contacted the company June 1st with a picture of the dress I wanted.  The only change I asked for was to add a corset back.  Paris emailed me a price quote right away and I ordered it around June 5th.  My dress arrived June 27th!  I have to say, it is not perfect (the to ruffle on the bottom is not centered), but it is a great replica.  I do not have it completely tied in this picture so I look heavy and it is not as flat as it should be... but I think its pretty good. What do you think?
This came out beautifully.

This is stunning. The best replication I've seen so far.

Olympic bride, they did a great job with your dress. I'm one of the other gemma brides on this forum.

If you want more boobage, I would ask them to lower the neckline slightly. I have a tonne of gemma pics on real brides, which I can share with you. Do you like how this one looks?

I know you mentioned that they are still working on the skirt. Will they be altering the way the tulle parts attaches from the bodice to the skirt? It looks a bit odd how it is at the moment

Im referring to this. just a personal preference... it does seem to be correct to the dress. i guess it stands out to me because all of the other pieces seem to fall to the side of the dress and this piece seems to fold to the top. Dont get me wrong.. gorgeous dress and it looks fab. I guess its a personal preference...stupid.gif

Oh I was looking on the other side trying to figure out what you were talking about. LOL. The original does have a fold like that, which is probably why I didn't notice anything wrong. I've noticed that the positioning of that particular fold varies from dress to dress- some diagonally crosses the bust from top left hand facing to just under the bust on the right iwhilst others scoop below the bust line (like how olympicbrides' is). I ummed and ahhhed about the positioning of that particular fold for my dress for a really long time. Just like what Tulumbride said, it really depends on what you like.

Did you order in premium or designer grade fabric Olympicbride?
