Hi MissLu,

I'm really sorry to read about your experience with Jasmine's Bridal. I'm not sure if your service experience has anything to do with the amount you spent. I ordered a custom wedding veil from them, a much less expensive item than a wedding gown and Jasmine's took excellent care and attention to detail with my veil. I don't know if they have different departments, but maybe the bridal department staff is much more detail oriented and quality controlled. My veil spent 4 days in quality control before even shipping.

In fact, my complaint was they spent so much time making sure it was perfect, I nearly didn't get it in time. And even then when I expressed my concern, they expedited shipping and were willing  to pay extra for it to be sent to my parent's address who flew out later than I did. Also, I don't think that Jasmine's is alone in requiring that customer's pay return shipping. The Chinese vendor I ordered my custom jewelry also has a customer-pays-for-return shipping policy.

In any regard, I really hope that you can get your money back and that you have enough time to make alternate dress plans. Regardless of the reason for a less than perfect item, you have a legitimate gripe. No bride needs this type of poor service before their wedding!

Thanks for sharing your experience and best of luck!

I ordered an evening dress for myself and a bridesmaid's dress for my sister. I wasn't impressed with the evening dress but it was OK. My sister and I were very disappointed with the bridesmaid's dress. There were at least 3 stains at the front of the dress close to the neckline. The bust was at least 2 inches too small and the front waistline too high. We couldn't zip up the dress. I thought I read somewhere that Jasmine's double or triple check their measurements. I don't know what happened. Maybe they were giving all the attention to making those "pricier" bridal gowns and didn't care too much about our two "cheap" evening and bridesmaid's dress.

I've emailed Jasmine's about my complaint and have not heard back from them. I just read on their website that they accept return for defective items but they would not refund deposit and shipping even for deflective item! Plus you'd have to pay for your return shipping. :(

I am a newbie here~ I am so glad I found this site. Well, I am getting married in Korea.

In Korea, you have a  very long wedding shoot and actual wedding ceremony with very short reception. Wedding photo shoot is done previously like at least 1 month before the wedding.

I saw some sample photos and their photoshop skills were superb~! Masterpiece~!

Choosing a photo studio was not hard part~!

Being raised in U.S.A somehow made me unlike other asian women  in Asia. LOL. A lot of girls are in size 0-4or 6 us. I am like 12-14 confused.gif meaning ?

Before I left Korea, I had some visits to wedding dress shops with my wedding planner, where like most women in Korea  rent their dresses

When I tried on some dresses, those beautiful dresses would not close upeek.gif. SO they had to add some extra fabric on back. Still, I could not breath well ... and

I found that dress shop only adjust bust size but the length. I am like 5'6 or7 but still it means I have wear shoes with heels. Those dresses were so long.

All those wedding gowns were really beautiful and very fancy with beading, very long train compared to wedding dresses I used to see in the states.

Another problem is that my fiance is  about my height

With heels and tiara,  I am sure I will be  taller than him unless he is wearing the same shoes~!!!!!

Renting dresses and tuxedo is not bad deal, you get to wear 4-5 different styles and all other accessories like veil are included for both photo shoot and ceremony.

The cost of rental  will be at least $700-1000 plus helpers fee(around $100~150 per day  but I heard that some  ladies go for expensive deals like $2000 and up for imported dresses.

In additon, once I am in Korea, I have to order custom made hanbok dress(Korean traditional clothing) around $500and more for silk garment. This hanbok  will be mine to keep forever.

I would take the option of renting  wedding dresses if my torso were like other  ladies in Korea~!!!! LOL.

Now I am back in the states with my parents and have been working out for few weeks. But, still, I have my doubt. Also, I wonder I really have to change myself in half size.

Well, may be, in realistic way,  I can be size 10 hopefully. Am I lazy for not pushing  or trying hard enough to lose weight?

Anyway, I called my fi and asked him if he loved me? like the way I am   and my love handle. He said yes. So now I am pretty determined to buy my own dress.

First, I thought that I'd visit David's Bridals  and get me some very discount dresses for my wedding shoot and ceremony.

Then I heard something like ordering custom made dress from China~! So here I am.

So far I am very pleased with photos I see here . I am not picky with details and will pay extra for alterations here.

I thank all the ladies who posted their dresses here.

Rawalter - Where was yours from?  I love it!!

It's an allure replica. I got it from jasmines bridal. They were so wonderful to work with. They w3re a little pricier than the other places I looked at, but that had made that design before and I liked that I would get get pics before they sent it, and they had great reviews and pics of all of their beautiful gowns on Facebook.
