@My Hoang,

First of all you look beautiful in that dress.  Second, I think you should have that dress made. If you are anything like me: that flower will always annoy you. If I were you, I would go with Landy. They have already done a dress that with a simple change of neckline would be the dress you want.

Hope this helps.

Sadly, I have already asked, and it's not a simple thing to remove. My next option is to have it custom made but I can't decide on who I should order from. Please give me your thoughts. This dress is 1150, but I can get it for 1050 with free alterations. My issue is, I don't like the flower, but I'll still consider buying the dress. OR I can get a custom replica for less and not have that flower. The only bad part is that I will have to cover my own alterations. All in all, I want the Maggie Sottero top part and the Enzoani skirt.

ieiedress: She makes wonderful dresses and is highly reviewed. What's nice is that she is here in the US. Looking at her work, she makes a great Diana-inspired Vera Wang dress, so I know she can handle the edgy skirt that I like. Quoted at about 500

landybridal: They actually sent me a photo of a similar dress that they made. The only changes I would make to their dress would be to add a sweetheart neckline and corset back. Quoted at 400.

Bridalbliss: great etsy reviews. Again, based on her work, I know she can handle the skirt. Estimated at 800. Please see the example below.

Dressilyme: Recommended site from China. Here is a photo of their work.

Shades of Pale: Another recommended company. They have great photos on their Facebook. Here is an example.

Duosheng: Highly recommended company from China. They have a similar dress, and they quoted me at 380 for regular organza and 480 for high quality.

Babyonline: Another recommended site. Quoted at 160

Jasmine Bridal: A bit more expensive than the other China sites, but I read awesome reviews. Quoted at 650 for standard, 925 for premium material, 1250 for designer grade craftsmanship

Feel free to share your thoughts, advice, opinions. Thanks in advance!

Let me try to repost this with the picture displayed. What I thought peacock would look like (oasis color).png Any suggestions?

However, when I went to the store to check out the dresses in person, I found out that the color I really wanted was not the darker peacock but the more teal color oasis.

Here's my problem. F12284 does not come in oasis. According to David's Bridal this leaves me with two options, either choose a new dress style that comes in our colors or substitute the oasis color I want for jade (the closest color to oasis for that dress).

Maybe I'm asking too much, but I don't like either options so I want to order the oasis dresses from overseas. I checked with Milly's Bridal and they will do it for $138, which is $39 more than the David's Bridal dress. So here are my questions for you

1) Anyone have any experience ordering chiffon bridesmaids dresses from China?

2) Anyone have advice on who might be able to make this dress style reliably?

3) Anyone have any other suggestions than any of the ones I have included in this post.

Thanks!

I just got the Vera Wang Diana from Shades of Pale, it almost exactly like the original and I'll be posting some pictures and doing a review soon. I think you should go with Landy because they have already done your dress and it looks really good but I think you should talk to them about the belt because the belt looks like its made with sequins and it really doesn't look that nice. I think the one on the original is a lot shinier maybe you could ask them to do the belt with just crystals.

The one I bought from ebay was about $170 including shipping.  (insert GASP here). I know...I know!!  I was totally ok with losing all of the money and having to buy another dress.  In fact....I had prepared myself for the odds of having a hot mess show up at my door and having to start the search again and accepted that prior to buying it. However....I just received my photos from the seller and I am very happy.  For the price, I think I got very very close to the look of the $6,500 gown. She even replicated the "Blizzard Beading".  I don't have the dress itself yet...so I will write  a full review when I can try it on.  But I am VERY happy with the initial photos.  I have asked her to make it slightly sweetheart on the neckline, but below are the photos she sent. I don't like the sash she tied on.  I'm going to remove that and buy a sparkley one from Etsy.  Also---IDress Front.jpgDress Back.jpgDress Blizzard Beading.jpg requested a lace up back so I could tighten it to nip in my waist a bit and thought this would give me flexibility on the fit since it was made to my measurements.  But I have heard that sometimes they end up tight.   The seller's name is Vivian and she was in China so you have a few minor language issues...but she was very responsive on email.

I got my dress made by Shades of Pale based on your recommendation and I'm so happy and just wanted to say thanks for the review your dress looks better than the original with the changes you made! Love the multiple removable sash idea too!

I had some changes made to the original design. I had the one shoulder changed to a strapless sweetheart and I added two different interchangable sashes. One is a crystal sash and one is a satin sash with flowers and crystals. I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the floral sash. Let me know your thoughts. I had the dress made into a corset back instead of buttons (due to my large rib cage...lol). I wasn't able to tighten the corset up like it needs to be in order to have the dress fit me like a glove. I know it will look much better once I'm cinched into it! I just didn't have anyone here to help me besides my fiance...I had to lock the doors so he wouldn't sneak a peek!

Ok ladies I found my dress I want for the most part, just dont think I want a train or maybe just a small sweep train. What steps do I take next to getting it made and who is best to contact? This is the link to my dress. I don't know how to post pictures inside the thread or I would.

Hi, everyone.  Nobody posted a reply to my question on ZiZi Bridals, so I am assuming they are either a very new company or a scam... I don't want to risk it.  The dress I've chosen has a lot of rouching - can anyone recommend another company that has proven themselves to do rouching very well?  I'll also be making some custom changes to the original.

Here is the dress I've chosen: http://sophiatolli.com/item/?i=Y11210&collection=Sophia

I want a one shoulder strap added, covered in matching flowers, and I want the flair of the skirt to be more gradual.  I also don't like how the Consuelo dress looks crooked at the back with the gathers - I want the train to tie in like this dress: http://sophiatolli.com/item/?i=Y11107&collection=Sophia

What do you think?  Any recommendations for a company?
