Like i said before I really like your skirt. your dress is very hollywood and is perfect for your wedding. I think if you feel the train is too long then its a great idea to shorten and move the flowers. Make sure you find a seamstress that knowns what they are doing because it would be so sad if they ruin your skirt.

Anyway, I'd like some feedback.  I'm happy with the overall quality and fit.  The dress under the rosettes is not the same color and I was thinking about shortening the train and moving the extra rosettes to the skirt to make it more dense.  Any thoughts?

The dress is more the dark red color in the photo of the skirt and I'm very happy with that.  The bust line seems to have been adjusted at one point to make the side less revealing and I'm pretty happy with that overall.  It does have a privacy panel but I'm thinking with the laces tightened it won't be so revealing and I'll probably just go without.

I chose the red for the dress because we are doing our renewal on 1-21-12 in Red Rock Canyon and I wanted something different and unexpected.

Thank you Futuremrslewis for the final update on your dress. I felt so bad for you when you found out that it was going to cost a lot more money to fix and all your stress. Your seamstress did a great job! I still love the pink detail that fushopping did though. I think you helped a lot of future brides out with their research on Knock-off wedding dresses. Great picture! you look amazing!

My seamstress was AWESOME!!  She removed the boning from the cups (I was wearing a bra anyway), she bustled the train (that bugger was HUGE!), she shortened the gown and removed all the wrinkles!  My dress was actually a little too big on me, but it was okay because it allowed it to flow a little better :)  I had all of the "guts" removed from the gown so it fell straight and was not quite as warm (although still SUPER heavy!)

Wearing the dress when it arrived, I felt horrible.  I cried, I felt so ugly, and I felt like the fattest bride that ever lived!  But once the gathers were taken from just below the bust, it took all of the attention OFF that area and brought it back up to "the girls", and I can honestly say I felt beautiful on my wedding day, "wings" and all! lol

And I've covered up our faces because I'm making a funny face, it looks like I'm laughing at hub while he's trying to be romantic and kiss my neck.  Aaaand, I like my privacy :)

Thanks ladies!!  I was so self-conscious in the dress originally, I was afraid I was never going to want to see my pictures.  But I have to say, even though I've only seen two pictures, I would be proud to hang one on my wall :)  And that's a good thing, because I paid more for the pictures than I did any other single aspect of our wedding!  They were almost twice the price of our reception lol

And I have to say, Miss Kim, I LOVE your dress!!!  It looks absolutely beautiful!  I really wish I had checked this forum BEFORE I ordered my dress online, because you ladies are so helpful!!

Hello ladies,

Its been a while since I have posted. I have really just been looking for the perfect dress. My wedding is next year in September. I am not having a destination wedding but I am getting a knock off dress. I have been in great contact with Jasmine's BridalShop and I have received quotes on 4 dress. I just dont know which one to pick...I am 5 1 and 1/2 and wear a size 4. These are my options so far what do you all think. Also who has a dress from Jasmine's and how do you like it? What grade fabric did you get?

This is a 15llk dress that I tried on in Kleinfields when I was in New York...Jasmine's quoted me 1k for designer fabric and the rhinestone work. I think I may want to find a different one to go there. What do you all think?

Thanks!

If you go back a bunch of pages there is a dress that has a similar top that was done very nicely and looked gorgeous.  I don't remember who did it though.

QUESTION:  Has anyone bought veils or shoes from these sites?  How did it turn out?

I honestly can't believe you all deleted PrettyPigPig.

I thought we were all adults here, who could handle everyone's opinions.
As someone who has slimmed down from 235 lbs to 135, I don't understand why an adult couldn't just ignore her comments without blocking her from the forums completely.

Oh well. So is the life of brides I suppose.
I guess for commenting I'll get blocked too.

I'm with ya...

Congratulations on "slim down"

I am sure you were/are a beautiful person either way however!

I purchased my gown from Jasmines and am very happy with it!  The quality is great and I went with the Premium grade.  As I posted before back a few threads that I think you should take a look at the pictures of dresses they have made on their website there is a link and it states under each dress the grade that was used.  Most of all you have to figure out if your the go with the flow and if it is not exactly 100% on, that you are ok with this, than I would think premium would be fine but if you are the picky and want it to be spot on I would pay extra.
