Shipping (as with any service cost eg alterations etc) costs alot of money- with that money I might've as well made another dress. Their terms and conditions said that they'd pay the shipping- but really they would only pay one way shipping from China to back where you are. Hopefully babyonline would be nicer and pay for the return shipping cost

If that fails, I'd go for reimbursement for local alteration costs--- have you brought it to a seamstress for a quote yet? And then scan/email the quote and tell them how much it'd cost....I imagine it'd be over and above the maximum they'd want to pay, but at least you'd recover some of the cost.

And then either 1. get it let out by seamstress. 2. try a different gown-maker (jasmine's or dressilyme sounds good to me).

Your wedding is in two days. What ever happened with your dress? Did I miss the updated pics?

The dress actually turned out okay!  I don't have any pics of it yet because I got it back from my seamstress only a few days before the wedding, but it actually turned out very well.  It cost me $340 in alterations, but it looked good on the day of the wedding so I was impressed :)  She was able to remove all of the "wrinkles" in the belly, she added a bustle, took out the boning in the cups, and did an awesome job!  When I get my pro pics I will show you ladies how it turned out!  I guess I have to change my username as well, I'm no longer the "future" Mrs. Lewis :D

It was done by Gianinar and it took just a little over one month. I'm attaching the inspiration dress and then some pics from the wedding... these are the only ones I have right now, and most of them have my flowers blocking the dress, but at least it gives you an idea... :)

Well, after 1 1/2 years of planning the original wedding and being with my now-husband for 9 years the photos, the ceremony video everything was a mess and my wonderful husband said, "we're moving to Vegas so we can just do it over until we get it right."  We've had  a few small vow rewenals but it's become a running joke that every time something major goes wrong.

So for 1-21-12 which will be out 3 year anniversary, I'm planning the ceremony and photos that I originally wanted.  I've been trying for about 6 months now for one of the dressmakers to get a dress right and it has not worked.

Each time I've sorely dissappointed by the quality of the dress or the timing.  Luckily, I've used paypal and a credit card each time to back me up.

I finally came to a conclusion on the blue dress and I will be sending it back.  It will cost me shipping but the company agreed to give me every penny I paid.  Hopefully, all goes well with the return!

Got photos from babyonline...looks good so far...again, like everyone else's experience, the dress was not fully photographed, but at least it was on a manequin!!!

Let's hope it looks good when it gets here and it fits!

Hi all, I just got a belt/sash and a veil from gianinarbridal. All I can say is that I won't buy anything from them again.

I ordered a belt/sash which all the belt parts weren't even sewn together. What were they thinking? The veil was of low quality material and the lace trimming had threads coming out of it plus veil fabric wasn't properly trimmed. The price they charged is a lot more compared to other dress makers (and they do poorer job).

Their communication is very slow too, they initially said that the belt and the veil would be ready in 5 days. It took more than a month! If I didn't nag them, it would have taken them longer!

Maybe just bad luck, but I can't recommend gianinarbridal to other people.
