Alright ladies!  It's taken me a while, but I finally finished student teaching, so I can post my dress.  Here is the original (an amy michelson ... called "Diamond")

As some may remember, they sent me pics and I made changes.  The dress all in all looked great, but the fabric looked a bit different.  So gianinar (totally misspelling it) actually remade the whole dress for me in a different fabric.  I actually bought them both but only paid shipping once because I wanted to see them both.  I ended up liking the first one the best. The second bust is very big on me, and I have a very small chest (however, I used Nubra in the pics with me wearing the dress and they make me look substantially bigger :-D)  Here are pics of the finished dresses and then of me wearing the first (they both are pretty much the same except the fabric, so I decided to save the pic space on here and just wear one).  Both did not fit perfectly, and it's funny because even though the measurements are the same, each dress was loose and tight in different places (I'm assuming the fabric also played a part in that).

Now in the soft and shiny satin.  I decided to keep the first neckline on this one, in case the other one was too deep.  As you can see the chest is bigger (even loose on the mannequin).  I think this would look great on someone with a full B or a C cup.  I'm a small B and might even be an A by now.  (when you loose weight, the boobs are the first to go  :-(   but wait til you see me in the first dress with my Nubra... my chest looks a whole cup size bigger!)

They seemed to make this bigger in my chest, and smaller in the hips, so it was more meant for a perfect hour glass shape, where as I am definitely smallest in the middle, I am also smaller on top than on bottom and not really equal.  I barely squeezed my self in there on the bottom and had to hold the top in certain pics.   haha!  But as you see, with some altering, it's definitely very similar.  Those were the back,, button/train, side, front, and bustle views

I went to this discount bridal sale however, and found a very cheap dress close to my actual dress that I am going to wear as my TTD, so I think I'm going to try to see if these dresses could make another lucky bride happy!  My dress is all lace, and I thought I'd like to try something different for the TTD, but when I saw this other lace one, I realized I wanted my actual and TTD pics to be close.

DSC05041.JPGDSC05038.JPG my dress (well, this is the sample, mine actually just came in a few weeks ago but I never got to see it because the shop burned down, but they were amazing and reordered my dress so hopefully I will see it soon!)

and this is the one that I happened upon that is more similar to my dress.  Actually, this one is also too pretty to put in the water.. LOL    How did I manage to become a FOUR dress bride?!?!

So, all in all, Gianinar was great!  Great communication, great accomadation, great price.  Just ended up finding something different!

I am glad to see this post.  I too was looking at an amy michelson last night.  Gianinar is in the process of fininshing a dress I ordered now and so far so good.  I was wondering if they would be able to replicate the back criss-cross detail and this answered my question.  Thanks for the post.  BTW, the dress that is being made now is my 2nd and I was still looking last night.  Who knew that would be the largest part of my budget so far?

I have to say, one of the parts of my day that made me smile was the amount of compliments that I received on my dress.....best $130 I ever spent :) The people that I told couldn't believe I was serious when I told them how little it cost!

mimi - The dress looked amazing on you.

peterpan - I'm so glad you finally found a dress you love (and a few extras.)

The alterations on my first Monica Bridal dress should be done on Friday. I can't wait to see how it looks once it actually fits! Then I just have to work on a crinoline.

I am having a second dress made by Monica Bridal, and I really hope it arrives before Christmas.
