I would suggest Jasmines Bridal, they are doing my dress and are AMAZING with communication!

 

A previous bride went with Shades of Pale and I LOVE their work as well, they responded to all my questions fairly quickly

You may want to check Jasmine's and Shades on Facebook. Send them the pick and see what they quote you.  I don't think Monica's still uses that name.  I couldn't find many dresses from them on DHGate.

Bmilliken0730, I just wanted to say that I love your dresses you are interested in and that I myself was interested in a few of these exact dresses. I may even look into getting a second dress that may be your first or third dress below. I have purchased a callista for brides with curves inspiration dress from dressilyme.com. They did an excellent job! you can see and read my review of my dress/seller on page 391 of this thread. I got a quote from jasmine bridal but it was too expensive when I asked for custom sizing. Please read about my experience and if you have any questions I would be happy to answer any concerns you may have.

If I remember right, she got it from Babyonline, and the original dress is a dress from David's Bridal, you have to go back around 50+ pages to see the actual post.

this dress that I posted was the Kleinfield dress. I am purchasing this one from Jasmine's as my wedding gown. I want an ivory dress because I come from an "ol school" family that believes if you aren't "pure" you don't wear white....I am far from pure with 2 kids lol. I like the look of ivory and champagne dresses though. I like the one strap one too but I am thinking of having a really formal wedding so I think the Kleinfield one will look better

Thank you Lindy S for your Shades of Pale post, although I already have my wedding dress sitting in a bridal salon PAID FOR, I fell in love with another dress that wont be out/released until March 2012, so I contacted Shades of Pale to see if they could make it! They have agreed that they can and my order should be in place by the end of today (after I get remeasured....I have lost a LOT of weight since my last measurements were taken)...I am anxious to see their product/progress!!!

 

If not I can always wear the wear the dress I own now...either way...WIN WIN

Those first two Julietta gowns are definitely new!  My inspiration gown was a Julietta too, 3052.  I loved the original, but unfortunately my knock-off was not quite as fabulous.  It's a whole lot of pages back.  So from ordering my own Julietta knock-off, I have a couple of pieces of advice:

 

1.  Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, order from fushopping.com.  Ever.  Unless you want to open your gown and cry for three weeks because your wedding day is ruined and eat every brownie that looks at you funny.

 

2.  Find a company that has a bit of experience in plus-sized gowns.  You can see 5,000 pictures of a size two gown that came out beautifully, but if they are not familiar with how a plus-sized gown is different from a tiny gown, then you may have a problem.  Ask to see pictures of some "curvacious" dresses they've made in the past.

 

3.  Don't give them all of your money before the gown has even been started!  A few companies that the ladies on here have used have allowed you to pay a deposit (something like half the price) and then pay the rest once you've seen pictures and you're happy with it.

 

4. Ask for LOTS of pictures!  And not on a hanger, ask for it to be put on a model if at all possible, even if the models they have are too big or too small, it will at least give you a bit of an idea than just hung on a hanger.

 

5.  If there's anything you question and would like more pictures or detailed pictures, GET THEM BEFORE IT LEAVES THEIR STORE/FACTORY!  I questioned the "belly" of my dress but thought "Nah, that looks okay" and was in tears when I saw it in person.  It cost me over $300 to repair once it got here!

 

I think that's it.  If anyone else has any points to add, feel free, or correct me on some if need be
