I concur plain is not how i saw this.  I don't think most people need all the lace, bedazzled big pseudo princess dressed.  The dess should complement you and i like number 1 myself

These dresses are not plain, they are classic, there is a difference.  Sometimes less is more and sometimes more is just bloody more.  You will look stunning in either of these and I also think when you look back at your photos in 10 or 20 years time, you will not cringe as they are timeless.  Saying that, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I agree...plain is still better than diaper/kidney bags dress or super beached whales.  If you can jazz it up with some nice red shoes and vintage headpieces, it will look very nice.  I am not a bling bling girl, I don't wear any bling except my engagement (which is a mega bling on my tiny finger) on a daily basis, so I prefer a classic lace dress, flowy and romantic.  Again, I am very opinionate in general.

Maybe try on different styles before ordering it, so you are 100% sure about what you want.  I used to want a silk chiffon dress, and I ended up with anything else...EXCEPT silk chiffon.

One thing  about those corset back dresses, make sure it is not too low..or else..you won't able to sit comfortably.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments!   such a great cheering squad on here!  I am trying to find the actual dress in store to try on just to make sure but am not having much luck.    I have tried on quite a few dresses, I have a couple I like but just not really sold quite yet.  With the trying on I have been able to narrow things down quite a bit which brought me to these 2 dresses and thanks to everyones comments I am thinking of taking a gamble and just ordering dress 1..  I do have time before my wedding day so I could always order another if I had to.  prettypigpig hopefully I don't end up with as many as you but you have invaluable information from all your experience and beautiful dresses too!

Don't try on the original unless you are prepared to be disappointed when you receive the knock off.

 

There will be differences that can make or break the dress. Try on similar fabrics and styles.

 

The first dress is definitely nicer. I would also try to find a close up picture of the bodice so that they have a better idea what to duplicate. And include the measurement of the length of the corset. Like prettypigpig said, you don't want it to be too low.

I am curious to know if other brides who have gone the "knock-off" "replica" route tried their dress on before hand and how they felt the replica compared.....

 

Now I am second guessing myself..... haven't ordered yet though so still time to change my mind!

I think it depends on several different factors.  I sent the pics in and asked them to change the neckline of my dress and it actually came out better than what I had tried on.  Then again, I had only tried on about 6 dresses.  I was beyond pleased with my dress from Gianinar.
