Post all "Knock Off Wedding Dress" questions/comments here

For all you ladies that have ordered your dress online, did any of you specifically request silk satin? Do you know if Monica Bridal actually uses silk satin or do they use polyester satin? I'm thinking of getting a simple sweetheart neckline dress, fit and flare, with thin straps.  I'm not sure if I want any kind of embroidery, but if I choose not to I would just like to make sure that the fabric quality is great and looks beautiful on its own.  I was thinking of just going with an online seller that uses silk satin if Monica Bridal doesn't use it.  Any suggestions?

Hi Ginger

Thanks for the advice, unfortunatley to late I did not post the pictures of the dress, my dress arrived today from Babyonline it is just that the other bride posted a picture of the dress I ordered. Lucky for me my dress arrived perfect and fits like a glove. I never saw the original dress onley the picture on line but I tryed on lots of dresses to see what shape I liked. So I dont know if the dress is exactley like the original but it does look just like the picture. If I can workout how to do pictures I will try to put some up.

Please forgive my lack of "photoshop" skills. LOL That's the idea I want atleast! Anyways, who do you think I should go with?

Hi I am new to this thread and wish I found it ages ago. I am expecting this dress from Babyonline tomorrow and dont think I asked enough questions before placing my order so very nervous about what I will get.

Monica bridal does silk satin I believe but it is quite expensive. The dresses are around $450+.

Ok ...I need to put on my warning msg..as usually...as I will never know what type of abnormal reply I will get

WARNING: Some readers may find the following msg offensive and disturbing, Readers' discretion is advised.

Ok, first of all, this thread is not Kijiji, as I mentioned before there is a thread on this forum for brides to sell their stuffs.  We are smart brides, we know where to look on the forum in case we want to buy a second hand dress.

Second, there is smth call..DUE DILIGENCE.  Like before u buy a house, you would check it inside out.  Before you go into a restaurant, you would check the menu.  and..as a shoe seller, I think u would understand..before you buy a pair of shoes, u would try them on or at least check them out.  Therefore before u put a comment, u should read a bit on the thread.  This is a thread for budget conscious brides, dresses are below $400 in general.

Third, trust me, I look at myself constantly, and I would never walk out of my house with my face 3 tones paler than my neck with a shiny forehead.

Forth, another advice...if u are thinking of getting a $10K dress, planning to lower the cost to 3K by resell it at $7K after, JUST buy a $3K dress.

If u can find a close relative ...willing to be the sacrifice and buy the dress for u, ..then too bad to be ur relative and good for u and resell it at $7K and keep the money.

Fifth, no wonder our central bank is putting all sort of rules to prevent people to refinance and to become over leveraged!  Better think about my short book tonight...hmm...

Because the title of this particular thread is "Post all knock off wedding dress questions/comments here".  Just sayin'.
