christinak82- I totally see what your saying about the sweetheart neckline but like many posters said im sure everything is fixable by a seamstress. :) The part of the fold that's popping out is something that probably needs to be tacked down... For now breathe girl!! Wait until you get the opinion of the seamstress like you said and then well take action... Crossing my fingers for you that everything works out!.. I have to say though that all of the elements of the dress look gorgeous together!

christinak82: I think the dress is really pretty. When my dress came I loved everything except for the satin waist band. It wasn't satin at all and it folded weird. My FI said it looked like athletic tape! The stitches were not very difficult to undo and I ended up buying my own satin and fixing it and it turned out perfect. The rest of the dress was so nice I didn't want to fuss too much over one thing that bothered me. I'm sure a seamstress will help you figure it all out. Good luck!

christina: I love how much of a perfectionist you are it's great, most people don't look at those small things I'm sure it helps those of us thinking of Gianinar, but honestly no one's going to notice them like you do and also I'm sure a seamstress can help fix a lot of those minor issues, sure you'll be spending the extra money for a seamstress to do adjustments but it still makes it less than the original would have cost. The dress is GORGEOUS, I did notice the stitches but never would have noticed a lot of it until it was pointed out and even though we got close ups of the issues I really doubt anyone at your wedding will ever notice them even standing next to you.

Now I'm completely confused about the different fabrics, you can order fabric samples for $5 I think from them, I'm not sure if that includes shipping or not though.

Does anyone know what fabric they used on luciel's dress on page 52?

thanks so much for all the posts. I guess I have to wait and see what a seamstress can do. The only thing I am worried about is that I will think about all those little things on my wedding day and because of that I will feel uncomfortable. And this is the last thing I want...

another question: do you get you dress pressed/steamed/ironed before the wedding? How do you plan on bringing it to your wedding destination?

I didn't, just had it hanging up and then carried it on the plane. I had it about three months before the wedding. All the major wrinkles fell out with time. I'm sure there were still small ones but if you couldn't tell already, I'm not really picky so I didn't care. I wouldn't have paid to have a $180 dress pressed and certainly wasn't going to risk doing it myself!

Hey, girls!! smile159.gif

I received my wedding gown yesterday and I am absolutely happy with it! I fell in LOVE with it as soon as I unpacked the dress. I can't help staring at it in the mirror!!!

It's just the ONE I wanted!!!! So happy!

Sorry I couldn't take a picture of it on me, my brother took my camera and dissapeared somewhere evil.gif

I'll post my proofpics for now and then add some real ones.

I should add - the gown is made perfectly, all stiches are fine.

I ordered the dress - the combination of two dresses and kept it as simple as I could. No beading, no embroidery... because I was not quite sure gianiarbridal would do it wel. So I didn't risk and I am very happy with the result! smile36.gif

There is a tiny black spot of something in the bottom, but I think I can handle it.
